“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark.” –Michelangelo

1 An individual’s capacity for happiness and achievement is limited more by what one believes and less by one’s actual capability. It is unfortunate when people fail to make the distinction between fact and belief, hence selling themselves short on their amazing potential and opportunities in life.
2 Facts and actualities are things done or otherwise proven absolutely. Beliefs are things thought to be true yet lack absolute evidence and are subject to change when new evidence is introduced or when interests evolve.  It is a fact that earth orbits the sun. It is a belief that cancer will someday be cured. The curious thing is that beliefs, in terms of the human experience, often precede things becoming facts and actualities.
3 One of the most important aspects of coaching is helping you explore your beliefs to better understand how they impact your life, for better or worse. Once you clearly distinguish what is fact and actuality from what is belief, the doors for change and opportunity open in places you otherwise would not have known to look.
